About

The Writer

Sean is an only child, who is currently doing his National Service (which you can read about) in the SAF and has just passed out as a Private on the 8th of April.

His present situation [of doing NS] would have been entirely different, had his parents chose to live in Hong Kong instead of Singapore more than 20 years ago. Nevertheless, he tries to accepts this current phase of his life as part of the will of God; struggling to treat each experience as a chance to learn.

In his free time (i.e. on the very precious book-out weekends, which at the moment is under constant threat because of the sergeants in his new unit), he enjoys taking leisurely walks (be it at malls or parks), shopping, trawling the web for stuff on design and architecture (which evidently is the dominant content of the blog), as well as read and take photographs. Design is one of his greatest interests, and he is hoping to study Architecture in the coming years.

It is always difficult to fully express who a person is and what defines him with mere words, so let my Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest profiles share with you a little bit more about what defines me.

The Design

As it was with the previous design, I wanted my blog to look clean and uncluttered - one that would put emphasis on the content. The design's left-justification of the content creates the feel of there being much more white-space, and in doing so, exaggerate the minimal effect that I wanted.

The Blog

Musings is a collection of the various thoughts, sights and memories that either inspire me, define me or are what I aspire to either be or attain. I chose to stay on the blogger platform, rather than migrate to the trendier Tumblr, as I liked what Blogger stood for - original content, without the seriousness that Wordpress is occasionally known for. The blog is very focused on design - in particular, architecture, so if that tickles your fancy, sit back, pour yourself a cup of tea (preferably Darjeeling) and enjoy.

P.S. If you really like this blog, do consider following it.
